This 24-session class is designed to prepare participants to take the State of California’s Water Treatment and Distribution Certification Exam. Attainment of this certificate qualifies participants for entry level jobs in the water industry that begin at mid $20.00 per hour range. Persons from low-income and chronically unemployed or under-employed backgrounds are encouraged to sign up for this class. The class is conducted by Cal Am Operator Robert Moss and includes guest speakers from various departments and from the offices of Cal Am. The class is a result of a collaborative with Greg Daniels, a veteran operator and former Supervisor Craig Evans at California American Water, in conjunction with a partnership between The Village Project, Inc. and California American Water Company-Monterey County District.
